THING TO DO IN MARRAKECH WITH KIDS,
Marrakech is much more than a maze of colorful souks and ancient palaces—it’s an incredible playground for families traveling with little ones. Between camel rides, lush gardens, and fun cultural experiences, the Red City is full of adventures that kids will never forget.
If you’re searching for the best things to do in Marrakech with kids, here are some unforgettable experiences that guarantee smiles all around!
Few things delight children more than a camel ride through Marrakech’s scenic palm groves. Just a short drive from the city center, the Palmeraie Oasis offers family-friendly camel treks among thousands of palm trees.
Kids will love dressing up in traditional Berber clothing (often provided for free) and pretending to be little desert explorers. Just remember your hats, water bottles, and sunscreen—this will be a highlight of your Marrakech adventure!
The Majorelle Garden, with its vibrant cobalt blue buildings and exotic plants, feels like stepping into a fairytale. Created by French artist Jacques Majorelle and later restored by Yves Saint Laurent, this peaceful botanical garden offers shade, calm, and color in equal measure.
Children can wander shaded pathways, spot turtles in ponds, and admire towering cacti—all without tiring little legs. It’s one of the most magical spots in Marrakech for families.
Hidden deep in the old medina, Le Jardin Secret is a restored palace garden that perfectly blends nature, art, and history. Its traditional Islamic garden design—with fountains, exotic plants, and beautiful architecture—creates a tranquil space for kids to explore safely.
Don’t miss climbing the tower for panoramic views of the medina—a fun reward for curious young adventurers.
No trip to Marrakech is complete without visiting Jemaa el-Fnaa, the city’s legendary main square.
By day, you’ll find snake charmers, storytellers, and musicians; by night, the square transforms into a buzzing open-air food market filled with sizzling grills, local snacks, and colorful stalls.
It can get crowded, so hold hands and stay close—but it’s an exciting, family-friendly adventure! Be sure to grab a cup of freshly squeezed orange juice from one of the local vendors.
When the Moroccan sun gets hot, head to Oasiria Water Park, Marrakech’s largest aquatic attraction. With wave pools, lazy rivers, thrilling slides, and shaded gardens, it’s the perfect family escape.
There’s even a dedicated kids’ zone with mini slides and splash areas, while parents can relax poolside with a cool drink. It’s a guaranteed day of fun for the whole family.
Introduce your kids to Morocco’s rich culinary traditions with a family cooking class. Many local schools in Marrakech offer fun, hands-on lessons where families can learn to prepare classic dishes like tagine or Moroccan bread.
It’s an educational, healthy, and delicious experience that brings everyone together—and you’ll take home more than just recipes: you’ll take home memories.
For older kids with an eye for creativity, the Marrakech Museum of Photography and Visual Arts is a fascinating stop. Its exhibits showcase powerful images that tell stories of Morocco’s past and present.
Don’t miss the rooftop terrace—perfect for taking photos and enjoying breathtaking views over the city.
Marrakech is a city of adventure, color, and discovery—perfect for families who love to explore together. From camel rides to cooking classes, every experience here offers a chance to create lasting memories.
So, pack your sense of wonder and get ready to experience the best things to do in Marrakech with kids—because every corner of this city holds a new surprise waiting to be discovered.
