Marrakech to the High Atlas Mountains of Morocco on a trek through the Azzaden valley, seeing some of Morocco’s most beautiful nature. Admire breathtaking panoramic views and experience the local culture first-hand as you pass by tiny hamlets and villages of the ethnic Berber, a herding and farming community.

Enjoy a 2 days trek around Berber villages in the High Atlas Mountains from Marrakech. You will explore the area and its beautiful Berber villages, and meet local people.

Equipment / Kit Hire

  • Good walking boots and socks / good trainers for valley treks
  • Personnel First aid Kit
  • 3 to 4 season sleeping bag ( winter) or light Sleeping bag ( Summer)
  • Lightweight waterproof over-trousers / rain-pants
  • Water bottle or camel back (recommended)
  • Soft-sided bag (50-80 litres)
  • Lightweight daypack
  • Sunglasses
  • Sunscreen
  • Torch and batteries
  • Towel & all personal toiletries

DAY 1

Imlil –Tizi M’zzik -Tizi Oussem

Trek from Imlil valley to Tizi Oussem on a five hour walk which takes you over Tizi M’zzik Mountain pass 2540m and down into the spectacular valley of Azzaden, spend night in village of Tizi Oussem (gite).
A side trip to the Ighouliden waterfalls is available after lunch.

DAY 2

Tizi oussem –Tiziane–Agersioual village - Marrakech

A downhill walk leading through the nature reserve protecting the barbary sheep. Lunch will be served at a stop off en way to Mattat village another hour and half after that and you will arrive in the centre of Aguersioual Travelling through olive groves and many berber villages
