Overview
This is a 7-day desert trekking adventure combining 3 days of camel trekking, varied desert terrain (erg, hammada, oases), and cultural stops. All meals, tents, transport, guides and local activities are included (unless otherwise noted).

Day-by-Day Itinerary
Day 1: Marrakech → Agdez
- Departure from your Riad in Marrakech around 08:30.
- Cross the High Atlas via Tizi-n-Tichka.
- Visit Kasbah Telouet (exterior) — the former seat of the Glaoui family.
- Continue through the Ounila Valley, then head to Aït Ben Haddou (UNESCO Kasbah) for lunch and exploration.
- Travel south, crossing Anti-Atlas, enter Draa Valley with its date palm oases.
- Overnight in Agdez (or nearby) in comfortable lodging.
Day 2: Agdez → M’hamid
- Short drive from Agdez → Tamnougalte (old kasbah in Draa Valley)
- Continue through villages, oases, and date palm valley landscapes.
- Stop at Tamgroute: visit pottery workshops and its historic Quranic library.
- Push further to M’hamid — gateway to the true desert.
- At dusk, enjoy sunset on dunes near camp. Overnight in comfortable camp with private bathroom.
Days 3, 4, 5: Camel Trekking Through the Sahara
- These three days are spent trekking by camel across desert terrain: sand dunes (erg), rocky plains (hammada), and oases.
- Each day is approximately ~5 hours walking (≈ 2.5 h in morning + 2.5 h in afternoon). luggage is carried by support camels.
- Meals prepared by camel-men; tents set up each night in authentic desert camps (with bathroom facilities).
- Late on Day 5, you’ll reach the famous Erg Chegaga dunes, where you’ll spend the night in a classic desert camp.
Day 6: Erg Chegaga → Ouarzazate
- After breakfast in the desert, depart by 4×4, crossing desert landscapes, including the dried Lake Iriqui (possible mirage view) and fossil-strewn areas.
- Stop in Foum Zguid, then continue to Taznakht (famous for Berber carpets). Lunch there.
- Drive to Ouarzazate, arriving late afternoon. Relax and overnight in hotel.
Day 7: Ouarzazate → Marrakech
- After breakfast, visit the Ouarzazate film studios (if open) and Kasbah Taourirt.
- Begin the return drive to Marrakech via the Tizi-n-Tichka pass.
- Arrive in Marrakech in the late afternoon. Drop-off at your hotel or Riad marks the end of the trek.
Notes & Tips )
- Emphasize this trek is not offered between early June and end-September due to extreme heat risks.
- Walking schedule: about 3 hours in the morning + 3 hours in the afternoon on trekking days (you can ride camels when desired).
- Option to customize: your clients may skip or add sections, extend stays, use alternate camps, etc.
- Include a packing list (clothing, sun protection, layer, good walking shoes, toiletries, etc.). Desert Majesty provides one in their original version.
- For branding: you can add your own intro, images from your past treks, testimonials, map and call-to-action.
- Check the status of Kasbah Telouet (exterior) — due to earthquake damage, internal access may be restricted.
